Tell me what you think afterward. It is one of few films that stay with you -- in the most beautiful way.

Okay, I watched on the prescribed NYE. Started off a little skeptical that they could propel the plot line and my interest for long. Whoa, wrong! The story was developed well, building interest, and I found that I cared about the people. Danny and (especially) Jack emerge in 3 dimensions and Jann opens up. Consistent with Danny’s earlier worries, he starts out a little “closed” to me. The family seems real too; only dad gets better developed though. I’ve been car company-adjacent all my life and the industry side of the plot and the race scenes were fun. Another movie that I was prepared to fidget during was “Whiplash” when my grandson turned it on. So, thanks for the tip. I’ll pass it along and, as an old professor said to me, embalm you in a footnote. 😉

So happy you trusted me and it paid off. Bravo! FWIW: I’m very careful about movie recommendations and book recommendations. Time is precious. On a side note, I put “Whiplash” (film, 2014) and “The Handmaid’s Tale" (book, 1985) into a category of art that haunts me years later. And exceptionally well done.

You’re probably aware of Formula 1: Drive To Survive on Netflix. If not, I recommend it for its behind the scenes portrayal of the drivers and their backing corporate sponsors.
